JENNIFER CHAN
PIANIST, TEACHER
演奏級鋼琴導師

         自小多次公開於香港(會議展覽中心, 時代廣場, 荷里活廣場, 中港城等地方)公開表演。英國高中畢業後入讀英國皇家威爾斯音樂及戲劇學院，師隨鋼琴系主任Richard Mcmahon 主修鋼琴演奏，取得音樂(榮譽)學士學位。2016年於香港中文大學獲頒音樂碩士, 及2020年修畢中大大學之小學音樂教育文憑。曾於Stamford American School 國際學校擔任教Music Specailist, 教授小學音樂科及鋼琴。Ms Jennifer 已考獲英國皇家音樂學院鋼琴教育DipABRSM (Teaching)文憑; 英國倫敦聖三一音樂學院鋼琴演奏級院士FTCL文憑及音樂理論AMusTCL文憑。

     Ms Jennifer於2005年赴意大利參加IBLA GRAND PRIZE 國際鋼琴大賽並且獲得傑出青年鋼琴家殊榮。在學院期間亦獲得BEETHOVEN PRIZE優異殊榮。畢業後曾獲就讀音樂學院邀請與皇家威爾斯音樂及戲劇學院管樂團合奏貝多芬第二鋼琴協奏曲， 並於威爾斯卡迪根郡公開演奏。Ms Jennifer畢業後繼續進修音樂, 曾於著名音樂學校Purcell School參與國際暑期音樂研習營與眾俄羅斯及英國等頂尖教授進行密集式大師班課程。2019年8月前往蘇格蘭音樂戲劇學院隨鋼琴系主任進修。

      除鋼琴以外, 亦曾參加由香港文化中心與康文署合辦之[樂器之王]管風琴教育系列之課程訓練，並於香港文化中心音樂廳結業音樂會彈奏Buxtehude Toccata in F major之曲目。她及後師承陳尚智博士學習並以優異成績考畢皇家音樂學院管風琴八級Grade 8 Organ。她現為香港國際鋼琴家協會負責行政工作，協助於香港推廣鋼琴音樂及舉辦香港國際鋼琴演奏及教育會議。

     她熱衷於鋼琴教授，致力培肓學生鋼琴興趣，於英國及香港有多年教學經驗，尤其著重鋼琴演奏技巧，樂曲探討風格與詮釋。

        Jennifer Chan was born in Hong Kong and has started playing the piano since five. She has previously studied with Ann Gardner (ARCM, Cert Ed) in Isle of Wight before taking up a place to study BMus (Hons) degree on the piano at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She graduated in July 2011 with a Upper Second Class Honor at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama BMus(Hons) where she studied under Richard Mcmahon (ARAM DipRAM, BMus ARCM), Head of Keyboard from 2007 to 2011. During her study at the conservatoire, she completed a DipABRSM diploma on piano teaching in Dec 2010. She then achieved Trinity Fellowship (FTCL), the highest level qualification of diploma on piano as well as the Trinity AMusTCL theory diploma.

        Jennifer is a pianist and professional teacher, she has recently performed the Beethoven Piano Concerto No.2 with the RWCMD Chamber Wind at the Dora Stouzker Hall and Mwldan Theatre in Cardigan.

        Bedsides piano, Jennifer has attained Organ Grade 8 level in Distinction. Jennifer has completed a MA Master degree in Music, and also a PGDE Primary (Music) at the Chinese Hong Kong University. She was a Music specialist in Stamford American School from 2018-20.

        Jennifer has always been keen on teaching piano, with pupils from beginner to diploma level. She is the administrator of the Hong Kong International Pianist Association, helping to promote piano interest in Hong Kong and to organise the annual Hong Kong International Piano Performance & Educational Conference.
